The Truth Foragers is a purely improv skit on the sphere of urban myths, urban legends, conspiracy, folklore and ghost stories.
Taking the roles of three stereotypical but different "Truth Foragers" brought together by their interest in and love of uncovering the "truth" we play slightly over-the-top (only slightly) caricatures - Rick Bishop, Rico Zimm and Dickie Waghorn - who all have their own strengths, weaknesses and styles.

Played utterly "straight" (albeit pushing into the absurd), The Truth Foragers has begun life as a show on our live Twitch channel with each episode following a similar pattern. Before the episode Luke will come up with a series of two word titles (e.g. "The Distinguished Gentleman", "The Faceless Owl", "The Gas attendant"), find a vague graphic and then think nothing more about it. Then in turn during the episode the title will be announced as if they have been researching the case for months or even years. Luke, Ben and Ewan will then take it in turns to tell part of the tale, filling in gaps and then sending it back over (often with a "hospital pass") for the other host to continue, following the fine improv tradition of "yes, and..."

Viewers are expected to play along as fellow "Truth Foragers" and can butt in with questions, insight and concerns throughout. Each segment ends with the Foragers deciding whether they "Believe" or "Remain Sceptical" towards the case.

The live show will incorporate these segments (with attendees choosing titles) as well as other interactive activities, Q&A and the chance for anyone to present their own findings in shorter segments if they wish. A live show can be anywhere between 1 and 3 hours. E-mail us for more information.

The Distinguished Gentleman
In this segment Dickie and Rick stay close to home, looking into the infamous Faversham urban legend about the Distinguished Gentleman.
Anyone who has ever stopped for a drink in a Faversham pub will have no doubt noticed him, but who is he exactly?!
The Murderous Statue
Rick and Dickie attempt to shed light on a potentially horrifying and deadly urban myth originating in the Kent town of Chatham - a myth surrounding the infamous statue of Thomas Waghorn and why locals are always attempting to cover his eyes with a traffic cone.
